The restaurant still retains many of the traditional features from the Victorian hunting era - the wood panelled shutters and servants' bells are all reminders of an era long gone but not forgotten. The bar’s comfortable surroundings, with a real log fire, ensure a convivial atmosphere where children are most welcome. Trout and salmon fishing are world famous in this area and this is reflected throughout the bar with the fishing theme featuring strongly. The stories at the end of a fishing day will fascinate even the non fisher as ghillies and fishers recount the day's events.
